Hello Beautiful Soul!
Lately I have been thinking a lot about the ALMA VIA Podcast, how it started, and even though it began so recently, how it has already changed - or better said, transformed, over the weeks.
The main purpose remains the same - to offer perspective, reflection, and support, so you can bring the teachings into your daily life in a realistic and embodied way; accessing gentle portals of awareness — moments where insight, clarity, and alignment become available through frequency, reflection, and presence.
This is the essence. This is what the messages help you reach. But I knew when I started, that even though I wasn’t sure about what the Podcast would become, it would come to be something bigger than the initial proposal.
Not so many weeks after its debut, on February 17th, the messages in the Podcast are now bringing a much deeper connection to the subterranean layers of our being.
Our subconscious is our mind’s ‘hardware’, recording in detail all we experience every single second of our lives, with added layers of emotional impressions and our own perceptions of what we perceive through all of our senses. The memories created mostly communicate with us through non-verbal channels such as images, dreams, symbols and our intuitive guidance.
When I started working with hypnosis, it was to help my clients be able to move past the wall they all have reached at some point in their lives, regardless of the therapeutic approach they had worked under. They all come with a somewhat version of being stuck.
Stuck in emotional patterns, stuck in their professional lives, stuck in unhealthy relationships, stuck in unhealthy behaviours, stuck in their search for what feels meaningful, stuck in their limiting beliefs. Stuck.
The list is long, but in the end, we all seek help when we find ourselves stuck in a situation that feels uncomfortable, most of the time unhealthy, or even painful, that we can’t seem to overcome.
But from all these ‘stuckness’, if I may call it, in the end, what ties to it are views of the life imprinted in our minds by external entities, powerful enough to create the foundation of our own perceptions and self-direction.
In other words, the belief system introduced by the adults and environment we were exposed to while growing up, shaping our own view of the world around us.
One thing we don’t seem to notice so distinctively, is that we see life through other people’s eyes. As babies, we can only read our surroundings by what our caregivers make sense of and introduce to us. We come to this world a white canvas. We need an artist to paint on us, until we can become a masterpiece - a combination of brushstrokes, one after another, that together create a unique piece of art!
As a society we learn to navigate the world upon the definition we give things, aka labels. Following this artistic metaphor, as a piece of art, we get defined by a certain style, and then are categorized: Modern, Renaissance, Cubist, Classic. Many are the possible sections we can fall under.
And so we are put in the art gallery of life, somewhere to be seen, admired, questioned, interpreted, and judged; created to inspire and tell a story.
We start to experience life through the places we visit. Some paintings stay in the same place their entire life. Others travel the world. Some are hidden, kept in secret, with little exposure; others are the talk of the neighbourhood. Each carrying a personal touch and purpose toward life.
It is only when different viewers start to show us the multitude of interpretations we can have as a painting, giving us different meanings and ways in which we can be, that we notice our own amplitude. Our perceptions and takes on what we live make sense only when shared.
When misplaced, or paired with paintings that don’t highlight our particularities, we can loose our brilliance or be incorrectly valued for our potential. It takes others to recognize our true exuberance in order to be placed in a wall that will make us shine and standout.
This does not mean we don’t carry value being ourselves. It means our life becomes much more meaningful and inspirational when they are collaborated and co-created.
But the true transformation and potential exists when we’re seen by eyes that carry a Soul - a mix of perspective coupled with knowledge through lived experience, and a touch of unique expression.
That’s when we comprehend we are not only a certain style. We are a combination of interconnectedness, moments lived, stories once told, interpretations, trials and errors, emotions, actions and reactions, all shared with other artistic creations. We are layers of many lives.
In our own complexity, we look for our placement in the world. Secretly wondering through different galleries, looking for the one where we will be mostly recognized. And again it’s not simply about admiration, it’s about being seen for what - or who - we truly are.
Some give up halfway, or don’t even start their journey. Others incessantly keep in pursue, until the moment when they realize it’s not about the where (they are) or the who (they cross paths with), but about how they feel through the journey.
Even though other’s may have their own impressions about us, what really matters is how we feel about our own beauty, our own way to express our brilliance.
Opinions will always differ, but we cannot allow ourselves to be defined by other people’s view.
In order to find peace and comfort in ourselves, we need to first look beyond the external world. We need to understand:
What was happening around me when I was brought to life?
Am I able to understand the circumstances and emotional baggage the artists who painted me carried?
How can I best express the beautiful creation I am?
What story am I telling the world?
What story do I want to tell?
What’s keeping me from doing so?
What’s the truth behind my actions, choices, and behaviours in becoming the masterpiece of my own life?
Use these questions as journal prompts to help you expand your insights.
But to help you gain a deeper understanding, you’ll need to go back in time, not only through your thoughts, by looking into the archives of your life. This is a much deeper exploration. You need to look at each brush once used to paint your canvas; reflect on the character of your painter’s touch; learn about the paint used to create you, its colours and composition, and even the places you moved through while being painted, and the ones that came after.
It’s all imprinted in your canvas. It’s all imprinted in your body!
This week, we are being invited to start looking back into the hidden parts of our being, awakening spontaneously, and regaining an important point of connection between mind and body.
The month of May has arrived, delivering, in an intriguing way, a message of its own: consistency.
I talk about this in detail in the article below, if you’re interested.
This month, for each week, we have 3 cards: 1 oracle and 2 tarot cards.
Today and this week the Avalon Priestess, Ace of Swords and The Moon are our guides.
A moment of breakthrough and intuitive awakening that will give us a boost of confidence, helping us reclaim our self-trust to overcome obstacles and act on the ideas that will emerge instantly, without overthinking them.
This week the signs will be everywhere. Pay close attention, as they will become more evident for you to see.
In order to be truly present to what is around you, first there’s something in you that needs to be reactivated and realigned. But this isn’t something you can do consciously. This is where The Moon card falls into place. It is all stored in your unconscious realm.
But don’t worry, you’re never alone! Today you will be especially accompanied by an Avalon Priestess, a powerful Goddess, ready to help you be intuitively awakened.
I started this post telling you how the messages have been transformed. Today you will sense it for yourself.
More and more they are becoming not only guidance for how to experience your week, but portals for direct access to your subconscious, to help you work on a much more profound level on what keeps you stuck, navigating the part of you that holds your truth: your subconscious.
And in doing so, they support you in your own healing journey, reactivating your confidence, self-trust, courage, and sense of presence, to live the life you’re meant to live - in alignment with your dreams, goals, purpose, desires, or however you wish to call it.
Trust that you’re being guided. Trust that you’re here and if this message found your way, it’s here to support you. Give it a try! You have nothing to lose. I promise you.
An extra dose of inspiration and guidance
Before I leave, I pulled a card to inspire us and guide us even more. I love to watch everything fall into place.
This was a card I pulled when I was feeling unsure and insecure about launching the ALMA VIA Podcast (click this link if you wish to subscribe). In my mind, I was not ready to share it with the world, even though my heart - and my spiritual guides - were telling me otherwise. In the midst of my moment of self-doubt, I felt a calling, and this card came to me.
Campfire is here today to give you the same gentle and friendly push, to show you that even if you’re not feeling 100% ready, or even 70% ready, you should move forward with your idea, project or dream. Don’t overthink it. Just do it!
Today’s Episode - Mind-Body (re)connection, will help you recode your mind, and imprint on your mental ‘hardware’ the message of self confidence you need so you can stop listening to the inner voice that makes you look the other way.
Read if for yourself:
Campfire: Do not fear opening your mouth and allowing your tongue to speak.
You might find unexpected support, knowledge or inspiration from someone who is more experienced and has a lot more stories to tell, or you may find there are many people who have indeed walked in your shoes. Even the most consistently successful people have experienced failure and challenges. Being willing to listen to those who have come before you can help build your strength and give you hope that you can also overcome the obstacles you are facing.
This card could also mean you may find yourself in a mentor position, that someone else has sought out your knowledge and guidance. (…) Be the kind of person who offers the same motivation you’d hope to receive for yourself.
Seasons of the witch - Mabon - Oracle - by Lorraine Anderson and Juliet Diaz
Can you imagine my face when I read this card? ‘Do not fear opening your mouth and allowing your tongue to speak’. In a moment, when I was wondering if I should start the Podcast or not, THIS card found its way to me. How can some not believe we’re always being guided?
I’m not going to lie. At first, it felt like a slap in the face. A well intended one, but a much needed one too. I needed to wake up, silence my inner critic, and act on my beliefs. As you know, I listened to it! Hence the Podcast!
Jokes aside, the card is asking us to seek support, and make sure we don’t give up on our dreams and goals. But as it’s always in direct alignment with what comes for us (and I pulled this card after writing this piece), it is also reinforcing the ideas we discussed a little earlier in this post: collaboration, co-creation, joining forces and seeking support to bring our dreams to life.
I hope you listen to both, the Podcast and this card!
Take a deep breath, grab your journal, find a place to sit in serenity and tranquility, and open yourself up to what you’re about to receive. It is a true gift. From me and our spiritual guides to you. I see you! I’m here for you!
Don’t forget to work on the journal prompts suggested above. It will help you enhance your reflections. You can answer them first, to see where you’re at, and come back for further considerations after you listen to the episode - Mind-Body (re)connection.
And if I may, would you be so kind in coming back here, after you experience today’s message and let me know how was it for you?
It will make me so happy, and not only that, it will also serve as honest feedback for the work I care so deeply about.
In any way you decide to be part of the ALMA VIA Community, I appreciate your support.
Thank you for being here.
See you on the other side!
Ps… If you think of someone who could also enjoy listening to these messages, or is in need of that gentle push to believe more in themselves, to regain their inner trust and bring their ideas to life - share this post.
Maybe that’s your way to connect to what the Campfire card brought today: being the light for someone soughing out knowledge and guidance.
Our vibes speak louder than our words.
Be well!
Love, Livia
