How I came to (finally) meet my own Self
And have been transforming my life through a simple and yet powerful practice
If you prefer listening over reading, I recorded the audio version of this article for you to experience it more comfortably. Not through AI. Using my own voice. Just hit play so we can connect through this frequency. I hope you enjoy what you’re about to listen to!
Since late 2024, oracle and tarot cards entered my life not by choice, but because someone up there had a bigger plan for me. And I’m not mad at Her.
I had consulted with readers many times before, as I believe in the power and magic these cards can bring to our lives — guiding, supporting, helping us better prepare for what’s to come. I don’t use them as predictions. As much as I believe that we do have a path to walk, directly intertwined with our own design and our purpose in this life, I also believe that through willpower one can direct or redirect their destiny at any moment.
But these divinations had a place in my life. Little did I know. And they came to stay.
Friends started to gift them to me, one after the other, for no specific reason. Well, we do share interests in the mystic and psychic world, and readings are a part of them. But what got me curious was the fact that within two months I went from having no tarot decks to three, and from two oracle decks to six.
And it didn’t stop there.. I started to have visions.
One after the other, I had visions of past lives, future events, powerful energetic connections appearing in multiple ways and through different elements. I was entering a whole new world. I was entering my whole new world.
As a spiritual person, having believed in and studied spirituality since childhood, all these experiences didn’t scare or surprise me. But undeniably, it was profoundly impactful. And it continues to be.
The synchronicity among random events became stronger. At times I was speechless.
So I started to make space for this energy to flow more and more into my life. I watched it happen in the least expected moments. Cards started to speak to me. Spiritual guides started to speak to me. And I listened.
Some will read all this that was happening as an awakening moment. And it truly was. No doubt. But I also knew it meant more than that. I had reached a very singular moment of my trajectory in this human life.
In 2025 I turned 42. I not only closed another seven-year cycle, I entered a new and important era of my life’s work as a spiritual being.
After 40 we leave behind our spiritual training wheels. Not to say we’re no longer supported. Because, as you can see, we always are. But now what was once being experienced as a rehearsal was taking the main stage.
After 40, we humans start to walk toward living our potential to the fullest. It’s our time for brilliance. As women we walk the final turns as menopause approaches. It signals this unique and profoundly existential moment. We get closer and closer to becoming wise sages.
It’s a mix of feelings to watch your life take full launch and at the same time find yourself wanting to experience it in slow motion. Because you now want to live and breathe beauty, notice details, and spend time smelling your coffee for the sole pleasure of living in the moment.
Everything else rushes around you, but internally your clock stops. Time becomes relative. You’re not walking down the hill — you’re setting camp at the top, to admire the view and make sure the land is well nurtured and taken care of for those who will soon arrive.
In the middle of all that life was introducing to me, my career was again undergoing a change.
You see… in my early years I spent so much time seeking what would give me a profound sense of meaning and gratitude. I wasn’t performing, I was looking for true connection. But that wasn’t what the market valued. I stumbled on my own feet multiple times. I didn’t feel heard or seen. I thought something was wrong with me. And regardless of my biggest efforts, life continued to redirect my path.
I couldn’t clearly understand why.
My desire to find this so-called “purpose” was so, so strong. As it was for so many around me.
Outside, the world was telling us our lives had no meaning if we didn’t know what we’re meant to DO. I watched myself and many Souls look for a place, trying to belong. Forcing our beings to fit somewhere. To fit a category. To name our spiritual mission as if it could be found in a menu and simply ordered.
Psychologist, Training Specialist, Coach, Hypnotist, Mother. These are the titles I carried in my constant pursuit of recognition, through what I was trying to do in life.
For what?
For what I could deliver. For the boxes I could check. For the results I could create.
I did perform. But inside it felt as if something was always, always missing. I would stare out my window thinking, “What did I come here to do? How can I help? How can I be more of service?”
I’m a mother to two little souls. I’m a friend to many, or maybe at this stage, to a few close ones. I’m a wife, a sister, a daughter. I’m a spiritual being. I’m a woman. I’m a person. I’m a human being.
I AM!
When all the spiritual messages entered my life, I was being guided not to find my purpose, my mission, my place in the world.
I was being guided to find myself.
Somewhere in the middle of trauma, hardship, joy, emigration, motherhood, and all my spiritual endeavours, I was finding the best and only place I can ever be: within me.
I am my everything. I am my own world. I am my own strength. I am me!
What took me here is part of my story. We each have our own.
This is not the end of the line. I’m just starting, as I have a long journey ahead to finally get to know myself better. Discover all I can possibly co-create, live, and experience.
This is the beginning of a beautiful and meaningful journey. Another multiple seven-year cycles ahead.
As I looked back in time, one of the important elements that helped me get here, to a place of clarity and deep connection with myself, was the cards.
If you believe you’re a spiritual being living this experience on Earth, if you believe in the Universe, the Source, a Higher Power, if you believe you’re being guided, you believe your spiritual guides have their ways to communicate with you.
And so it wouldn’t be hard to believe, if you don’t already, that through oracle and tarot cards they can help you navigate life.
(Don’t worry, I’m not here to say you should start doing this if that’s not what you want. Although I do suggest you try if it interests you. You can see from my story how powerful it can be. But that’s not the point.)
I started connecting with them on a daily basis. I was, and still am, learning day by day. From practice. Not trying to interpret the cards’ meanings, but watching how my days go by and how they connect to what the cards represent.
And the synchronicity of events and meanings doesn’t cease to amaze me. I’ve shared some of them here on Substack if you’d like to see.
Moving from daily single cards, I started to work with spreads and decided to use them, under the same lens, weekly.
Just noticing what was being directed to me and comparing it, if you will, to how my week would unfold.
It’s incredible how little things can have a much more meaningful impact in our lives than the ones perceived as more important or bigger.
This practice supported me in so many ways, especially during hard times, but not only.
When I felt the energy being intense, I would go back to the cards, think about the message, its meaning, and extract my lessons.
That simple practice started to make me more tolerant.
When I felt ashamed for my actions, for giving too much into my emotions, I looked at myself with compassion and focused on my learnings, not my ‘mistakes’.
When I knew the days ahead would carry a happy and celebratory energy, I found myself connecting more and more to the moments, consciously experiencing them and acknowledging their presence — not because I was being somehow “told” to, but because I was simply surrendering to the moment.
And after a period navigating this cards experiment, it dawned on me.
What I was really being taught wasn’t how to read tarot or oracle cards.
It was how to be consciously present in my life.
In order to notice how I felt, my thoughts, my reactions, my choices, my behaviour, and the synchronicity of events, I couldn’t be dissociated from my body.
I couldn’t be disconnected from life.
I had to be fully present.
I did not expect that to be the outcome from this experience. And it turned out to be the biggest birthday present I could ever get from Life — or from my Guides, if I do them the honour correctly.
Since I started being more present, the transformation has been profound. But please, this is not a post about how perfect my life is, how beautiful every day of my life has become, and how effortlessly I take on my everyday challenges.
Oh dear! Absolutely not.
If anything, this is quite the opposite story, because now, through my struggles, I really understand my pain. I embrace the good as much as the bad, but with compassion. Before, it was guilt and shame. And at times they do come up, because as a human being I will continue to experience all these emotions, as they are as much a part of this Earth experience as they are a part of me.
Feelings are our guides too. They name what words can’t express. They are wise and compassionate teachers. We only know love because we understand hate. Shame, courage, guilt, pride, sadness, and happiness — they walk side by side.
That’s life!
So, all this to say that I’m no better than anyone. I’m learning to move forward with life learning, observing, experimenting — not judging, not labelling. Simply noticing.
And because service is one of my biggest values, I felt a huge calling to share this experience, not only through storytelling, but also to give others the same opportunity I have: to receive these weekly messages and exercise presence. That’s how the ALMA VIA Podcast came to exist.
This podcast is a space of support, love, and co-creation.
An invitation to pause, tune in, and reconnect with yourself.
My intention here is to help you access gentle portals of awareness — moments where insight, clarity, and alignment become available through frequency, reflection, and presence. I believe that sound carries energy, and that my voice holds a frequency meant to support you in connecting with your own higher frequency — one that helps you navigate life’s questions, challenges, and doubts in a practical, grounded way, while also helping you acknowledge the good moments and surrender to them.
Each week, I share messages guided through oracle cards, tarot, books, and different bodies of knowledge that I walk with and study. These messages are not meant to tell you what to do, but to offer perspective, reflection, and support — so you can bring the teachings into your daily life in a realistic and embodied way.
I turn to my Guides for support, not as someone who has all the answers, but as a fellow learner on this path. I receive these messages alongside you, test them in my own life, and reflect on how they apply through lived experience. We are learning together.
This is a space rooted in respect, collaboration, community, and co-creation. Knowledge is never exhausted, and no one here is above another. You are invited to take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and walk your own path with more presence, self-trust, and compassion.
Here you can find all current episodes available. And if you’d like to continue receiving the updated messages, click the button below.
I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that these messages can help you navigate your life in a much more compassionate way, helping you embrace all parts of yourself and become more present in your body to consciously live your life.
Oh! And before I leave, as for my career change, as I mentioned earlier, all these moments led me to become a Soul Healing Facilitator.
I support other souls, gathering all my formal and personal experiences being a Psychologist, Training Specialist, Coach, Hypnotist, Mother, Woman, and Human, helping to free those from the part that keeps them disconnected from their Self.
I use tarot, oracle cards, and hypnosis as the main tools during my sessions, alongside my studies in Human Design. But you really work with me as a spiritual being — from one soul to another, heart to heart.
I’ve helped people struggling with anxiety, loss of purpose, anger management, co-dependency, eating disorder, career change, life’s transitions, loss of focus, set free from unwanted habits or looking to strengthening abilities and pursuit their goals, to name a few. Not to mention spiritual awakenings.
If you feel like connecting more personally, beyond what these words have served to introduce me to you, let’s talk.
Our vibes speak louder than our words.
Be well!
Love, Livia
